Isis and Rick win Graduate Student Service Awards!

Isis and Rick were recently awarded Graduate Student Service Awards from the Penn State Department of Chemistry, in recognition of their extra-curricular contributions to the success of the department. 2/3 of the annual awards this year went to our lab members!

Isis was acknowledged for her service on the Department Head Search Committee last year. As the sole student representative on this important committee, she participated in committee discussions and candidate interviews on behalf of the graduate student population in the department.

Rick was recognized for his service with the Chemistry Graduate Student Association, most recently as the Vice President of the organization. In particular, he played a meaningful role in organizing the admitted student recruitment weekend in February of this year.

Rick and Isis are great representatives of our lab, and we are proud of their contributions and leadership to the department! These awards are well deserved. Congratulations!
