Undergraduate researcher Lucas Madak (rising 3rd year) capped off a phenomenally productive summer of research with an excellent talk at the Office of Graduate Educational Equity Programs (OGEEP) Summer Scholars Symposium. His talk, "Exploratory synthesis and targeted modifications of layered hybrid solids," detailed his efforts to synthetically isolate new crystalline organic-inorganic hybrid semiconductors.

Lucas earned a spot in the prestigious Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program at Penn State, which generously supported his research for 10 weeks this summer.

Well done, Lucas! We are looking forward to continued progress on your project this fall.
